2024 Activities

Here is what we have in store for our 2024 season!!! As usual we’ll be having our fair share of dances, bingo, karaoke, hay rides and kids fun. Our schedule could change so we would ask that you check back regularly for updates.

May Weekends

May 3 - 5 - OPENING WEEKEND!!!

A quiet weekend to sit around the campfire to get reacquainted and for everyone to get settled in for another season.

May 10 – 12 – IT’S MOTHER’S DAY WEEKEND

MOTHER’S DAY WEEKEND!!! Come and join us for our Mother's Day weekend. The season opener of late night wine bingo is in store so some lucky person can get stocked up for the summer.....Mother’s get a free card.

May 17 – 20 - AN OLYMPICS LONG WEEKEND

It’s Victoria Day Weekend, Canada’s Unofficial Start to Summer, and we will be having our first ever Maplewood Olympics as the real Games will be taking place in France this summer. Saturday afternoon we will break into groups for events that will include both kids and adults who will compete for their teams to see who gets the biggest medal haul. Saturday night we’ll be holding a dance and on Sunday afternoon Olympic darts will be in store. Bingo will be held on Monday afternoon.

May 24 - 26 - IT’S OUR ANNUAL BEEKER BALL TOURNAMENT

Beeker ball tournament Back by popular demand, our beeker ball tournament. If you've never heard of it come on out and try your hand at Maplewood's favourite sport.

June Weekends

May 31 – June 2 – IT’S A GAMES WEEKEND FOR ALL

We’re planning a weekend full of games such as Family Feud, Trivia, a cribbage tournament etc. and who knows we may even have our Newly Wed/Oldie Wed game back again!! Make sure to join us in a fun for all weekend.

June 7 – 9 - IT’S OUR ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT

FORE!!! Our 16th Annual Maplewood Acres golf tournament will be held on Saturday, June 8th. A Vegas (best ball) format will allow everyone from the novice to the seasoned duffer to have a great time. Cost for golfers is $TBD including green fees, electric cart and dinner back at the campground. For spouses just wanting to take part in the dinner, you are welcome to join us ($). GOLFERS!!!! WE NEED TO ADVISE THE COURSE OF THE NUMBER OF FOURSOMES 2 WEEKS BEFORE SO WE NEED YOUR CONFIRMATION BY MAY 25th AT THE LATEST PLEASE NOTE WE ARE AGAIN PLAYING AT GLENGARRY GOLF CLUB IN ALEXANDRIA THIS YEAR.

June 14 – 16 - FATHERS DAY WEEKEND!!!

This weekend is dedicated to our dads. Come join us for our annual Father’s Day dart tournament on Saturday afternoon. Bingo is on tap for Saturday night and we’ll be making it a late night beer and wine cooler event. Dads get a free card.

June 21 -24 - IT’S SCHOOL’S OUT WEEKEND

The first official weekend of summer!! And it’s a long weekend for our Quebec campers!!! The young ones are finally out of school so come and join us for a School's Out weekend. There will be lots of activities in store including a sock hop dance on Saturday evening and chocolate bar bingo on Sunday afternoon. A fun weekend for all!!!

July Weekends

June 28 - July 1 - CANADA DAY WEEKEND

It's Canada's birthday this weekend so once again we'll be celebrating with everyone who will be having a birthday in 2024. There will be lots of birthday activities and of course a birthday cake. Get ready to decorate your bikes, strollers and any other thing that you would like to showcase in our Canada Day parade on Sunday afternoon. We'll surely be topping off our parade with another of our surprise water gun fights so you best be ready and bring your water gun. LOTS OF LIVE MUSIC ON SATURDAY NIGHT WITH OUR ANNUAL CANADA DAY DANCE AND ON SUNDAY NIGHT WE’LL BE HAVING LATE NIGHT BINGO FOLLOWED BY FIREWORKS!!

JULY 5 - 7 - IT'S A POOL PARTY WEEKEND!!!!

Come and join us for our annual pool party hosted by DJ Wayne!!! We’ll be spending the day around the pool with music and loads of activities for all. On Saturday evening, weather permitting, we will close off the day with a late-night adult swim.

JULY 12 - 14 - IT’S A MAGICAL PIRATE’S WEEKEND AT MAPLEWOOD

AHOY MATEYS and shiver me timbers!! A hidden treasure hunt, walk the plank and pirate crafts are some of the things that will keep everyone amused this weekend. On Saturday afternoon Steve the Magician will entertain children of all ages with amazing feats of magic. Kids only BINGO is also in the works.

JULY 19 - 21 - HO HO HO IS THAT SANTA??

You guessed it, old Saint Nick will be making a pit stop at Maplewood Acres again this year during his summer vacation. A candy cane hunt, caroling hayride, and site decorating are all part of our plans for our Christmas in July weekend. PARENTS.....Don't forget to bring along a gift for your little ones as Santa's workshop is closed for the summer. Please see the office for further info at check-in. We will also be having a Dance with Santa on Saturday night.

JULY 26 - 28 – IT’S A TOGA PARTY!!

On Saturday night Wayne's World is back again for a TOGA party!!! Come and join us for a party with Maplewood’s favourite DJ!!! We’ll be having a dance with music from the toga days starting with the 50’s and 60’s and work our way to today. Come on out dressed up for the occasion so we really brighten things up.

August Weekends

AUGUST 2 – 5 – IT’S BEAN BAG TOURNAMENT WEEKEND

On Saturday afternoon call it what you want, Corn hole, Bean Bag or Bean Toss, no matter what it's fun for all and we're looking forward to our 2nd annual tournament. Saturday night will be highlighted with a dance hosted by DJ DOM that will be a great time for all.

AUGUST 9 – 11 - IT’S OUR OLYMPIC POOL PARTY

Another Olympic tribute weekend!!! We’ll be getting the competitive spirit out again to see which team can get the biggest medal haul in our Olympic pool events. Lots of fun is in store for all so come on out and join the festivities. On Saturday evening we'll be holding a late-night high stakes bingo.

AUGUST 16 - 18 - WESTERN WEEKEND

Yeeha! It's our western weekend. Be sure to join us for what promises to be a fun-filled weekend. Saturday night will be highlighted by a dance and our ever-popular mechoui dinner ($ - Presale tickets will be available up to 2 weeks in advance for $5 less than the “at the door” price). A horseshoe tournament is also in store for Saturday afternoon.

AUGUST 23 - 25 – IT’S TEXAS HOLDEM

Come join us on Saturday night for a tribute to Vegas with an evening of Texas Holdem fun. Don't forget to bring along your lucky charms for good luck. Things will be quiet on Sunday as we start putting things in place for our upcoming Halloween weekend.

September Weekends

AUGUST 30 – SEPTEMBER 2 - LABOUR DAY WEEKEND AND IT’S HALLOWEEN FEST AT MAPLEWOOD

The last long weekend of the summer. Ghosts, goblins and ghouls abound during our Halloween Fest weekend. Our annual haunted house adventures, for those who dare, will prove to chill your bones on Saturday Night. Please bring your decorations for the site decorating extravaganza and don't forget to dress up for the best costume contest and parade. "Trick or treating" and Fireworks by the pyrotechnical team of Billy, Wayne and Yves will be on the agenda for Sunday.

SEPTEMBER 6 - 8 - A QUIET WEEKEND

We will be having our last late night high stakes bingo on Saturday night!!!

SEPTEMBER 13 - 15 - FALL CAR RALLYE

A perfect activity for when the weather is a little cooler. If you like scavenger hunts come and join us for our annual car rally which is certain to be a great time for all. We will also be having a potluck soup and grilled cheese sandwiches supper fundraiser for the Canadian Cancer Society on Saturday after the car rallye. Prepare a soup, stew or chili to bring up and we will be preparing grilled cheese sandwiches to sell to raise the funds.

SEPTEMBER 20 – 22 - EARLY THANKSGIVING

We’ll be having an early Thanksgiving Supper on Saturday night for our annual thank you dinner to be followed by a dance.

SEPTEMBER 27 – 29 - A QUIET WEEKEND AROUND THE CAMPFIRE

OCTOBER 4 - 6 - OUR CLOSING WEEKEND

It’s our final weekend and time to close up for another season. Come on out and join us for the last weekend around the campfire!!
