2025 Activities

Here is what we have in store for our 2025 season!!!  As usual we’ll be having our fair share of dances, bingo, karaoke, hay rides, movies and kids fun. Our schedule could change so we would ask that you check back regularly for updates.

May Weekends

May 2 - 4 - OPENING WEEKEND!!!

A quiet weekend to sit around the campfire to get reacquainted and for everyone to get settled in for another season.

May 9 - 11 - IT’S MOTHER’S DAY WEEKEND

MOTHER’S DAY WEEKEND!!! Come and join us for our Mother's Day weekend. The BINGO season opener will start with a late night wine bingo on Saturday night so some lucky person can get stocked up for the summer.....Mother’s get a free card.

May 16 - 19 - OUR FIRST LONG WEEKEND OF THE SEASON

It’s Victoria Day Weekend, Canada’s Unofficial Start to Summer. Saturday night we’ll be holding a dance with live music by Shady Jane visiting us for the first time (just so you know the drummer is one of our seasonal campers). A self defence training session will be held on Sunday morning under the guidance of one of our regular campers, Marc, who many of you know. Marc is a martial arts expert and has been giving these sessions for many years so please join in and learn a new skill. We will also be having Bingo on Monday afternoon.

May 23 - 25 - IT’S OUR BEEKER BALL TOURNAMENT

Back by popular demand is our annual beeker ball tournament. If you've never heard of it come on out and try your hand in this fun for all event.

June Weekends

May 30 - June 1 - IT’S A GAMES WEEKEND FOR ALL

We’re planning a weekend full of games such as our Newly Wed/Oldie Wed game, Trivia, a cribbage tournament, Uker, etc.!! Make sure to join us in a fun for all weekend.

June 6 - 8 - IT’S OUR ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT

FORE!!! Our 18th Annual Maplewood Acres golf tournament will be held on Saturday, June 7th. A Vegas (best ball) format will allow everyone from the novice to the seasoned duffer to have a great time. Cost for golfers is $TBD including green fees, electric cart and dinner back at the campground. For spouses just wanting to take part in the dinner, you are welcome to join us ($). GOLFERS!!!! WE NEED TO ADVISE THE COURSE OF THE NUMBER OF FOURSOMES 2 WEEKS BEFORE SO WE NEED YOUR CONFIRMATION BY MAY 24th AT THE LATEST PLEASE NOTE WE ARE AGAIN PLAYING AT GLENGARRY GOLF CLUB IN ALEXANDRIA THIS YEAR.

June 13 - 15 - FATHERS DAY WEEKEND!!!

This weekend is dedicated to our dads. Come join us for our annual Father’s Day dart tournament on Saturday afternoon. Bingo is on tap for Saturday night and we’ll be making it a late night beer and wine cooler event. Dads get a free card.

June 20 -23 - IT’S SCHOOL’S OUT WEEKEND AND OUR 1^st POOL PARTY 

The first official weekend of summer!! Let’s celebrate the end of the school year with a pool party on Saturday afternoon!!! Sunday afternoon will be a chocolate bingo. A fun weekend for all!!!

July Weekends

June 27 - July 1 - CANADA DAY WEEKEND

It's Canada's birthday this weekend so once again we'll be celebrating with plenty of activities starting with FIREWORKS on Friday night. On Saturday get ready to decorate your bikes, strollers and any other thing that you would like to showcase in our annual Canada Day parade. We'll surely be topping off our parade with another of our surprise water gun fights so you best be ready and bring your water gun. LOTS OF LIVE MUSIC ON SATURDAY NIGHT WITH OUR ANNUAL CANADA DAY DANCE featuring the Brain Dead Geniuses!!

JULY 4 - 6 - IT'S MAPLEWOOD IDOL WEEKEND

It’s going to be a contest we’ll all remember as we hold our first ever Maplewood Idol singing competition. In the spirit of the Idol shows around the world we’ll be looking to crown our favourite singer. Come on out and cheer your favourite. On Saturday we'll also be having a mini-putt tournament as we have again rented the course we had last summer for the day.

JULY 11 - 13 IT’S A MAPLEWOOD POOL PARTY!!! And poolside wine and cheese

Come and join us for a pool party hosted by DJ Wayne!!! We’ll be spending the day around the pool with music and loads of activities for all. On Saturday evening, weather permitting, we will close off the day with a potluck wine and cheese get together and late-night adult swim .

JULY 18 - 20 - HO HO HO IS THAT SANTA??

You guessed it, old Saint Nick will be making a pit stop at Maplewood Acres again this year during his summer vacation. A candy cane hunt, caroling hayride, and site decorating are all part of our plans for our Christmas in July weekend. PARENTS.....Don't forget to bring along a gift for your little ones as Santa's workshop is closed for the summer. Please see the office for further info at check-in. We will also be having a Dance with Santa on Saturday night.

JULY 25 - 27 – IT’S OUR FIRST EVER CELTIC WEEKEND!!

On Saturday we'll be holding a dance hosted by our local Celtic band Six Mile Cross Come and join us for a party that will surely be a memorable occasion for all. We are also planning activities in keeping with our theme for the weekend so check back with us to see about our leprechaun pot'o'gold scavenger hunt, St Patrick's Day crafts, gold coin toss, highland games etc..

August Weekends

AUGUST 1 - 4 – IT’S BEAN BAG TOURNAMENT WEEKEND

On Saturday afternoon call it what you want, Corn hole, Bean Bag or Bean Toss, no matter what it's fun for all and we're looking forward to our annual tournament. Saturday night will be highlighted with a dance that will be a great time for all.

AUGUST 8 - 10 - IT’S TEXAS HOLDEM

Come join us on Saturday night for a tribute to Vegas with an evening of Texas Holdem fun hosted by Jeff King. Don't forget to bring along your lucky charms for good luck. Also as the Canada Day wasn't a long weekend we will be looking to rent some blow-up slides for Saturday of this weekend so the kids don't miss out on the fun this year.

AUGUST 15 - 17 - WESTERN WEEKEND

Yeeha! It's our western weekend. Be sure to join us for what promises to be a fun-filled weekend. Saturday night will be highlighted by a dance and our ever-popular mechoui dinner ($). A horseshoe tournament is also in store for Saturday afternoon.

AUGUST 22 - 24 - IT’S THE LAST POOL PARTY OF THE SUMMER

Another fun day around the pool with lots of games in store. Things will be quiet on Saturday night and Sunday as we start putting things in place for our upcoming Halloween weekend.

September Weekends

AUGUST 29 – SEPTEMBER 1 - LABOUR DAY WEEKEND AND IT’S HALLOWEEN FEST AT MAPLEWOOD

The last long weekend of the summer. Ghosts, goblins and ghouls abound during our Halloween Fest weekend. Please bring your decorations for the site decorating extravaganza and don't forget to dress up for the best costume contest and parade. "Trick or treating" and Fireworks by the pyrotechnical team of Billy, Wayne and Yves will be on the agenda for Saturday. Our annual haunted house adventures, for those who dare, will prove to chill your bones on Sunday Night. Candy Bar Bingo will be held on Monday afternoon.

SEPTEMBER 5 - 7 - A QUIET WEEKEND

A quiet weekend to sit and enjoy a campfire

SEPTEMBER 12 - 14 - FALL CAR RALLY

A perfect activity for when the weather is a little cooler. If you like scavenger hunts come and join us for our annual car rally which is certain to be a great time for all. We will also be having a potluck soup and grilled cheese sandwiches supper fundraiser for a charitable donation on Saturday after the car rallye. Prepare a soup, stew or chili to bring up and we will be preparing grilled cheese sandwiches to sell to raise the funds.

SEPTEMBER 19 - 21 - EARLY THANKSGIVING

We’ll be having an early Thanksgiving Supper on Saturday night for our annual thank you dinner for our seasonal campers. To be followed by a dance.

SEPTEMBER 26 - 28 - A QUIET WEEKEND AROUND THE CAMPFIRE

OCTOBER 3 - 5 - OUR CLOSING WEEKEND

It’s our final weekend and time to close up for another season. Come on out and join us for the last weekend around the campfire!!
